Pricing
How pricing works
We don't quote from a catalog. We quote from your result card.
What decides the price
Four things move a softener or filter quote. Your hardness and how much water the house uses, which set the size. How far the equipment sits from where the water enters and the nearest drain. Whether the plumbing needs changes, like a new shutoff or a bypass. And the equipment you choose.

What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't
It includes the equipment, install labor, the drain and overflow connections, a bypass valve and the first fill of salt. It doesn't include electrical work if there's no outlet nearby, drywall or paint if a wall has to be opened, or a permit if your town requires one. Anything we know about is written in. Anything we find later is priced and agreed with you before we do it.
What happens at the visit
The hardness test at your kitchen tap is free, takes about twenty minutes and leaves you owing nothing, whether or not you hire us. If an install makes sense, we look at where the equipment would go and write the quote from what we see.
After hours
We don't run a night line. Tests and installs happen on weekdays, and Saturday by appointment. If a softener leaks, turn its bypass valve to bypass, close the shutoff ahead of it and call us in the morning.
When you get the number
In writing, before any work starts. The total is the number, not a range. If you'd like to think it over, take the quote home.
Prices depend on the job. We don't publish figures here.
Hear the number before you decide
Book a hardness test, and the quote follows from your result card. Nothing is owed unless you say yes.
